EFTTA CEO
Jean-Claude Bel was appointed as EFTTA's first ever full-time Chief Executive Officer on October 1st 2008. With more than 30 years' experience in the fishing tackle trade, he joined the association -which has more than 200 members in Europe- and represents the interests of tens of thousands of employees in the industry. Monsieur Bel, who lives in Rennes, France, has held senior positions with some of Europe's biggest tackle companies, including Rapala, O Mustad, Mitchell SA/Garcia Europe SA (now Pure Fishing), and Freetime Group France. From 1997 to 2007, he was the chairman of Rapala France SAS, which includes the Ragot, Water queen, Normark-Nautisme and Guigo Marine Shop companies.
EFTTA General Manager - London Office
Assisted by the EFTTA Secretariat, Janet Doyle is responsible for managing EFTTA and EFTTEX on a day to day basis. She works closely with the EFTTA Board and CEO on strategy and policy and is responsible for initial research and negotiations for EFTTEX, dealing with venues and contractors as well as general office management. Janet holds a Degree in Sociology and a Marketing Diploma. Her career history encompasses project management and conference and event organisation for medical and pharmaceutical companies, MRC and Novartis.
EFTTEX Manager - London Office
Vicki S has been with the Association since March 2008 and thoroughly enjoys EFTTEX each year. She is primarily responsible for liaising with the host venue and service providers for EFTTEX while providing space only stands with all the information needed to ensure a successful show. Vicki also co-organises the annual Gala Evening with Vicki R and enjoys hosting the New Product Awards presentation. You can find Vicki S on the show floor or Organiser’s office during EFTTEX. Vicki joined EFTTA bringing with her a wealth of experience from the events management and performing arts fields.
EFTTEX Coordinator - London Office
Vicki R is the Exhibition Coordinator and is the first point of contact for all exhibitors and those companies wishing to exhibit. Vicki provides a wealth of information for exhibitors on all aspects of the show and the host country. At EFTTEX Vicki spends her time visiting her exhibitors, booking next year stands and co-organising the Gala Evening. If you would like to find her during EFTTEX please ask at the Organiser’s office. Vicki has been with the Association for over 3 years having come from a varied work background working in the health service and hospitality industry.
Membership and Communications Officer - London Office
Marisol is in charge of all aspects of membership and communications for EFTTA and EFTTEX. She liaises with the Media and answers any queries that any member or potential member may have. Marisol is responsible for the Press Stand and the Best New Product Awards competition at EFTTEX. She has a BA Degree in Journalism and a BA Degree in Travel and Tourism. From Spain, she brings a wealth of experience from marketing, PR, edition and communications in general.
Team Assistant - London Office
Jackie is the first point of contact when someone phone the EFTTA office and she ensures that everything runs smoothly on a day to day basis. She’s responsible for EFTTEX Pre-registration and visa invitations. During the exhibition, you can find her at the visitor registration desks or in the organisers office. Jackie brings a wealth of experience and administration knowledge gained in the Finances sector.
Bookkeeper - London Office
Anita is responsible of the accounts for EFTTA and EFTTEX. She has a Degree in Accounting & Finance, is member of ACCA and is Part Qualified Accountant. Anita joins EFTTA with a wealth of accounting knowledge gained over the years working in the Finances sector, in a Membership association and in the Travel & Tourism industry. Public Affairs Officer - Brussels Office
Since 2001, Jan runs the EFTTA lobby office, shared with EAA, located next to the European Parliament in Brussels. Before that, he worked in the European Parliament as an assistant for two Danish Members of Parliament. He has extensive knowledge about European legislation and legislative procedures of importance for EFTTA's lobbying and the recreational angling and sport fishing community at large. Jan coordinates lobbying issues with EFTTA CEO Jean Claude Bel.
Environmental and Fisheries Legal Advisor - Brussels Office
Anna joined the EFTTA team in March 2017 at our office in Brussels to follow and give advice on EU environmental policies, laws, the Common Fisheries Policy and any other issues of interest to EFTTA. She has extensive experience in EU affairs. Before joining EFTTA she worked for two environmental organisations in Brussels where she worked on and gained expertise in areas that are of interest to EFTTA. Prior to that, Anna worked at a law firm. She completed a traineeship at the EU body ‘the Committee of the Regions’. She holds a Master’s Degree in Law and European Studies acquired from Poland as well as a LL.M acquired from the Central European University.
