EFTTA representatives Janet Doyle, Victoria Seymour and Victoria Rogers will have partying in mind when they travel to Budapest on September 26. Not that they are planning too much revelry for themselves of course.
The main objective of their three-day trip to Hungary is to find a venue for the gala dinner and Best New Product Awards presentation that traditionally takes place on the second evening of the big European trade show.
The key criteria are good transport links for the partygoers and a location with a ‘wow factor’, which was certainly the case when EFTTEX was last in Budapest and the evening was hosted by the Gundel Restaurant, rated one of the top ten restaurants in Europe.
Expectations for the show are high following the resounding success of 2009, considered by most to be one of the best EFTTEX shows of the last ten years.
The EFTTA trip will also include a site visit to the exhibition hall, the HungExpo, where the association plans to use the same halls (F and G) as seven years ago.
“Our main objectives are to meet all the show’s service providers, including security, catering, hostesses and information technology, to discuss requirements and see what changes have occurred at the venue since the last Budapest show,” said EFTTEX Manager, Victoria Seymour. “We need to gather all the information necessary to provide our exhibitors with a smooth show.”
The reconnaissance party will also gather information about transport links, restaurants, hotels and more for posting on the EFTTEX website. Budapest itself is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and should in itself prove a good attraction for visitors.
